Yutaka Nakagawa, executive VP in charge of camcorder ops, is promoted to executive deputy prexy and will take over management of Sony’s core component biz, including semiconductors and batteries, with a mission to strengthen quality control.

Prexy and electronics CEO Ryoji Chubachi, who has been overseeing the personal computer, semiconductors and electronic components biz, will shift to tech development and long-term strategic planning.
