La Salle sells TV projects to CBS, NBC
Eriq La Salle’s Humble Journey Films has sold a pair of TV projects, including one that would mark the “ER” alum’s return to series TV.
La Salle is signed on to play FBI agent Gabriel Santana in “25 to Life,” a crime drama set up at CBS.
Also, NBC has picked up quirky comedy “The Four Next Door,” about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse — who arrive to Earth a decade too soon and are forced to wait things out.
The scripts rep the first major development to come out of La Salle’s deal with CBS Paramount Network TV. La Salle and Humble Journey’s Terri Lubaroff will exec produce both.
“25 to Life” follows FBI agents as they partner with convicted criminals to solve crimes. Project comes from Marc Moss, who is aboard to exec produce. Moss feature credits include “Along Comes a Spider,” “Kiss the Girls” and “Shooter.”
Mark Legan, who created the high-concept Pilgrim laffer “Thanks,” is behind “The Four Horsemen” and will exec produce as well.
La Salle signed his talent and production deal with CBS Par last year (Daily Variety, Oct. 4, 2005). CBS and CBS Par declined to confirm the new projects.
