Peacock skein cooks up cast

Sitcom vet Alan Thicke (“Growing Pains”) and Food Network regular Sandra Lee have been tapped to host NBC’s upcoming “Celebrity Cooking Showdown.”

From the music arena, producers have lured rapper Ja Rule and country music star Big Kenny of Big and Rich, while Kansas City Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez and volleyball’s Gabrielle Reece will rep the sports world.

Thesping cast includes Tom Arnold and “Days of Our Lives” star Alison Sweeney. Rounding out the roster are model Naomi Campbell, Miss USA 2005 Chelsea Cooley and musician-turned-reality-star Ashley Parker Angel.

Colin Cowie (“Everyday Elegance”) has been set as one of the judges, with the other judge yet to be finalized.

“Cooking Showdown” is set to bow the week of April 17.
