“Grey’s Anatomy” exec producer Peter Horton is flying to New York to provide a boost to ABC drama “Six Degrees.”
Horton is expected to spend a month working on the Gotham-based show, exec produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot shingle. He’ll likely serve as a consulting producer. There’s been buzz that the studio had concerns about the direction of the show’s early scripts.
Decision to add Horton to the mix comes amid the departure of Jace Alexander, who was a director-producer on the skein. Touchstone recently shut down production on the skein for about a week to give the show additional production prep time.
Horton remains focused on “Grey’s Anatomy” and pre-production on the new pilot he’s working on with “Grey’s Anatomy” guru Shonda Rhimes.
