Dytman will join agency as a partner

Continuing its growth spurt, the Gersh Agency has acquired L.A.-based boutique tenpercentery Dytman & Associates in a move that expands Gersh’s television side.

Jack Dytman, who founded his agency 15 years ago after leaving ICM, will join Gersh as a partner and senior VP. Other agents with Dytman won’t make the move.

Dytman said about 75% of his clients work in television, the rest in film.

The 30 clients Dytman brings with him to Gersh include TV producer Frank Pace; David Amann, an exec producer of “Without a Trace;” Bob Daily, co-exec producer of “Desperate Housewives” and “Frasier;” Robert Lloyd Lewis, producer of upcoming Showtime skein “Dexter;” veteran TV exec producer Jeff Melvoin; and Bill Schmidt, co-exec producer of HBO’s “Carnivale.”

Film clients include Nat Mauldin, who penned Sony’s upcoming “Open Season.” Peter Gethers, a novelist, screenwriter and prexy/co-founder of Random House Films, also is one of Dytman’s clients.

In March, the Gersh Agency acquired sports management firm Steve Feldman & Associates. Earlier in the year, Gersh acquired Gotham-based the Joyce Ketay Agency.
