Patti McTeague has been named senior VP of kids’ communications for the Disney-ABC Television Group.

Over the past four years, McTeague has spearheaded the PR campaigns for hit Disney Channel series “That’s So Raven,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” “Lizzie McGuire,” “Hannah Montana” and the original movie “High School Musical.”

McTeague, who most recently served as VP, also has worked closely with Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross and overseen strategic planning, communications and publicity initiatives for all of the company’s kids’ platforms. Those include Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney, Toon Disney, action-adventure block Jetix, ABC Kids, Walt Disney TV Animation and Radio Disney.

Exec will continue to report to Disney-ABC TV Group senior VP of communications Kevin Brockman.

“Patti has been invaluable in helping us build on the success of the Disney Kids’ TV portfolio, and in communicating that success to the industry and our viewers,” Ross said. “She’s also done an amazing job of positioning our brands and programs in a tremendously competitive landscape.”

Prior to Disney, McTeague spent six years at UPN, last serving as a VP of media and talent. Before that, she spent a decade working for ABC as a publicist for primetime series, movies, specials, latenight and Saturday morning.
