China deals for BBC

BBC sales arm BBC Worldwide scored content deals with broadcasters in China at last week’s Beijing TV Festival.

The Beeb licensed factual dramas “Krakatoa — The Last Days,” “Hannibal — Rome’s Worst Nightmare” and “The Lost World.” Titles will be syndicated over three years to more than 300 regional and local channels, including those in Beijing and Shanghai.

It also licensed the latest season of “Life in the Undergrowth,” presented by naturalist David Attenborough, to national broadcast giant China Central Television.
