Nancy Carson has been upped to exec VP of distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures Intl., overseeing the release of all films overseas and serving as the chief liaison with Warner Home Video.
In her expanded role — she previously served as senior VP of distribution — Carson will work closely with business affairs on acquisition and distribution matters and oversee the release of Warner Bros. Pictures films on Imax screens overseas. She reports directly to Warner Bros. Pictures Intl. prexy Veronika Kwan-Rubinek.
Carson will be responsible for release date strategies, box office tracking, revenues and profitability. On the homevid front, she will focus on international release windows and work with corporate finance on budgeting and forecasting issues.
Joining Warner Bros. Pictures Intl. in 1996 as director of distribution, Carson was upped to VP in 1998 and promoted to senior VP in 2001. Previously, she was director of international distribution for Morgan Creek.
