Exec promoted to VP of media sales

The Warner Bros. TV Group has promoted Michael Teicher to the new post of exec VP of media sales.

Teicher takes on the job of selling time on all programming distributed by Warners in TV syndication and basic cable. In addition, he’ll sell ads on Warners’ new-media platforms, from Web sites to cell phones to iPods.

Warners’ goal, said Warner Bros. TV Group prexy Bruce Rosenblum, is for Teicher to offer clients “a one-stop, multiplatform, completely comprehensive approach to their ad buying.”

Teicher was exec VP of media sales for the domestic TV division of Warners since January 2002, where he supervised the sale of ad time on firstrun syndicated shows such as “The Tyra Banks Show” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and reruns including “Two and a Half Men” and “Friends.”

Before Warners, Teicher held sales-exec posts at Replay TV, Turner Broadcasting and Major League Baseball Prods.
