VH1 Latin America is now distributed on cablers Telecentro in Argentina and Cable Magico in Peru.
The new carriage deals up distribution of the feevee to 11.5 million homes regionwide, with total penetration of pay TV markets in those countries at 44% and 84%, respectively.
The pan-regional music channel also has acquired rights to more films for its “Movies That Rock” block.
From Warner Bros., it purchased “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” “Batman,” “Boogie Nights,” “A Clockwork Orange,” “The Crying Game” and “Risky Business.”
From NBC Universal, it picked up “The Doors,” “This Is Spinal Tap,” “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “The Fast and the Furious.”
