Union pacts with studio for small screen
“Running With Scissors” thesp Gabrielle Union has signed a mid-six-figure deal with ABC and Touchstone to give TV another try.
The actress last starred in the short-lived thriller “Night Stalker” for the Alphabet and its sister studio.
Under the casting and development pact, the net and studio will identify new vehicles to develop with Union in mind; she is already meeting with writers to find a project. Should none of those come to fruition, she’ll be available for casting in one of the net’s pilots.
Union’s TV credits include the HBO telepic “Something the Lord Made” and the CBS skein “City of Angels.” Thesp also guested on “The West Wing,” “Friends,” “ER” and “7th Heaven.” She most recently voiced a character on “Family Guy.”
Her film credits include “Bring It On,” “Deliver Us From Eva,” “Love & Basketball” and “Breakin’ All the Rules.”
Union will next be seen in the February release “Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls.”
She’s repped by UTA.
