The piano’s still hot

'Chicago's' jazzy anni

“Chicago” gave ’em the old razzle dazzle Tuesday, when the revival celebrated its 10th anni on the Rialto with a starry benefit perf.

The entire tuner was performed, with a clutch of celebs who have done stints in the show — including Melanie Griffith, Brooke Shields, Joel Grey, Wayne Brady, James Naughton and Ashlee Simpson — reprising their roles for portions of the evening.

Chita Rivera, the original Velma from the 1975 preem, did the opening number, “All That Jazz,” while the revival’s original stars, Bebe Neuwirth and Ann Reinking (latter also choreographed the revival), returned for the finale, “Nowadays.”

Griffith got the trooper award, soldiering on through a monologue even through she was nearly drowned out by an equipment malfunction that sounded a lot like a chainsaw. Director Walter Bobbie stopped the show, tech guys fixed the problem and Griffith gamely started over.

“Guess this is take two,” she said.
