Stars return to ‘subUrbia’

Play's vets catch latest incarnation

It was a “subUrbia” reunion at Off Broadway’s Second Stage Theater when a new production of Eric Bogosian’s 1994 play opened there Thursday.

Martha Plimpton and Josh Hamilton, stars of the 1994 incarnation at Lincoln Center, and Parker Posey and Nicky Katt, who appeared in the 1996 movie version (directed by Richard Linklater, also in the crowd), watched a current crop of young thesps, including Kieran Culkin and Gaby Hoffman, put on the show.

The play chronicles the suburban disaffection of a group of teens. Speaking of suburban disaffection: The opening-night party was at Planet Hollywood.
