TWI, the global sports production powerhouse, is moving a senior executive to Miami to strengthen its presence in U.S. Hispanic markets, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Felix Alvarez-Garmon, TWI’s senior VP for operations across those regions, will be based in Florida. He will continue to be responsible for sales and for developing production opportunities in the region.
“The U.S. Hispanic population alone numbers 40 million, so it makes sense to focus on particular areas like this where there is growth, not just on the sports side, but of production generally, including areas like Argentina and Brazil, and factual and entertainment,” Alvarez-Garmon said.
TWI parent company IMG has 70 offices in 30 countries and is headquartered in Cleveland. It is the world’s largest athlete representation firm. Broadcast division TWI is the world’s largest independent producer of televised sports programming and distributor of sports TV rights.
