Jennifer Lopez has signed a deal to exec produce “Moves,” a new MTV reality series about dancers trying to make it in showbiz.
MTV has committed to eight episodes, with the show slated to kick off in the fourth quarter. Net said Lopez played a role in selecting and auditioning the six dancers, three men and three women, who are featured in “Moves.”
Lopez has also agreed to show up onscreen in cameos throughout the series. Lois Curren, exec VP of entertainment and programming for MTV, said Lopez started her career as a dancer and “will share her experience and knowledge with a new generation of dancers.”
Simon Fields, a partner in Lopez’s company Nuyorican, is also an exec producer of “Moves,” as are Rod Aissa and Jesse Ignjatovic.
