Sale also includes free-to-air runs of 'Charlie,' 'Polar'
A week after selling a hefty package of Warner Bros. films and TV series to RTL Television, Herbert Kloiber’s Tele Munchen Group has sold to its rival ProSiebenSat 1free-to-air rights to “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” the second and third installments in the hugely successful franchise.
Sale also includes the first free-to-air runs of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “The Polar Express,” “The Island,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Miss Congeniality 2.”
RTL also picked up subsequent-run rights to “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Miss Congeniality 2” as part of its deal with Tele Munchen.
Series in the ProSiebenSat 1 purchase include “Invasion” and “Supernatural” as well as additional seasons of “King of Queens.”
