Program Partners, a U.S.-based syndicator specializing in the distribution of Canuck drama Stateside, has picked up rights to a second procedural drama, “Intelligence,” from producer Chris Haddock.
Program Partners had already licensed into syndication the Haddock series “Da Vinci’s Inquest.”
Program Partners and Canuck producer Thunderbird Films will unveil the acquisition of worldwide rights to “Intelligence” today. Series will launch on Canada’s the CBC in the fall.
“This is a natural outgrowth of our successful teamwork with both Haddock Entertainment and Thunderbird Films,” Program Partners co-founder Ritch Colbert said.
“Intelligence” stars Ian Tracey as Jimmy Reardon, the third generation head of a West Coast crime family who’s involved in a cat-and-mouse game with police informants.
Program Partners is marketing “Da Vinci’s Inquest,” “Intelligence” and its Crime Watch program block, featuring “Cold Squad” and “Stone Undercover,” as an outgrowth of its worldwide distribution agreement with Thunderbird.
In its debut season in U.S. syndication, “Da Vinci’s Inquest” has attained a 2.0 season-to-date household rating and more than 40% growth since its premiere broadcast in weekend syndication.
