ABC current exec Jennifer Turner is heading to NBC Universal Television Studios, where she’s been named veepee of drama programming.
Turner will develop new drama series for the Peacock studio while also overseeing creative on current skeins, including the upcoming “The Black Donnellys.” She’ll report to Laura Lancaster, senior VP of drama and cable programming for NUTS.
Lancaster said Turner is “smart, passionate and really has a way with talent, writers and producers.”
Turner was most recently director of current programming at ABC, where she worked on shows including “Lost,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “My Wife and Kids” and “Desperate Housewives.” Before that, she was director of daytime programming for the Alphabet, serving as creative exec on “General Hospital.”
Before getting into showbiz, Turner worked for investment bankers Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Goldman, Sachs & Co.
