Vietnam Night party sings out
Karaoke rattled the metal walls of the Guest Lounge at the Pusan Intl. Film Festival office on Tuesday evening, as industryites loudly celebrated at the Vietnam Night party.
Some of PIFF’s Vietnamese songbirds dressed in national costume. Thesp Truong Anh Ngoc was resplendent in a white ao dai, similar to the one featured in her pic at Pusan “The White Silk Dress.”
Also on hand was the pic’s helmer, Huynh Luu, in contrasting black. Do Thi Hai Yen, star of foreign-
language Oscar hopeful “Pao’s Story” and a member of the Star Asia Summit of hot Asian talent, dazzled the room in a concoction of organdy, with a skirt of white tulle.
The room was transformed into a small slice of Hanoi withVietnamese delicacies among the usual kimchi, sushi and salads.
Omnipresent fest director Kim Dong-ho sampled the fare with helmer Othello Khanh, who is at Pusan promoting his soon-to-be-completed feature “Saigon Eclipse.”
Among others present were “Saigon Eclipse” producer Irene Trinh, VTV3 TV host Lai Van Sam, Megastar Media deputy general manager Tran Khai Hoang, Prime entertainment senior manager Juyoung Park, Jeonju Film Commission’s Planning Department manager Dong Du Shin and Jeonju Intl. Film Festival publicity and marketing director Lee Jung Jin.
