Meyer knows how to relate

AJC honoree promotes tolerance

HOLLYWOOD — At Thursday’s American Jewish Committee dinner, honoree Barry Meyer said, “We live in a polarized world where an organization like the AJC that promotes understanding and tolerance has to be supported.”

Support for this dinner was a record-setting $1.5 million.

Execs filling the BevWilshire’s ballroom included Jeff Bewkes, Alan Horn, Jeff Robinov, Jerry Bruckheimer, Ron Meyer and Leslie Moonves. All were on hand to see the Dorothy & Sherrill C. Corwin Human Relations award presented to Meyer by Jack Valenti after a keynote speech from Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.).
