Meigs moves to ICM and takes Beyonce

Question remains if singer's tune biz part of deal

ICM has hired Andrea Nelson Meigs away from CAA, where she spent the past six years as a talent agent.

Meigs will bring with her Beyonce’s business as an actress, but the big question is whether she will also carry Beyonce’s tune business.

ICM sources were confident that music would be part of the mix, though CAA sources were not in harmony. While Beyonce is being touted for her upcoming role in “Dreamgirls,” recording and touring is a far more valuable piece of business for an agency.

Aside from Beyonce, Meigs’ clients included Cedric the Entertainer, Destiny’s Child and Jeffrey Wright. Meigs was expected to bring most of her list with her.

Hire comes after ICM signed Eminem for acting and producing pursuits. His recording business remains with WMA and manager Paul Rosenberg.
