Exec will continue to develop new nonfiction projects
HOLLYWOOD — Lifetime has promoted six-year company vet Colette Shelton to reality programming VP.
Shelton fills the position of former alternative programming senior vice prexy Bill Brand, who ankled Lifetime last year (Daily Variety, Sept. 21, 2005).
Previously director of reality programming, Shelton will continue to develop nonfiction projects. She also will oversee current reality series. Her recent work for the cabler includes March preems “Cheerleader Nation” and “Face the Family,” as well as “The Nanny Reunion Special.”
Prior to her tenure at Lifetime, Shelton served as a producer for E! Entertainment channel’s “E! News Daily.”
She is based in Los Angeles.
