Cabler's on quest for 'Superstars'

And the “American Idol” wannabes just keeping coming …

Lifetime is teaming with Go Go Luckey Prods. (MTV’s “Laguna Beach”) for the two-hour spec “Karaoke Superstars.”

Gary and Julie Auerbach are exec producing the doc, which follows four women participating in a karaoke contest in the hopes of changing their lives.

“Karaoke” will premiere in November.

“The four women profiled in the docu film have each reached a turning point, where they want to explore new possibilities for themselves,” said Lifetime VP of original movies Libby Beers. “This is an exciting, upbeat drama about finding empowerment, friendship and personal transformation.”
