NPR has signed former “Nightline” host Ted Koppel as a contributor for “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered” and “Day to Day.”
Koppel will appear at least 50 times on the radio for NPR in the coming year in addition to his gig as managing editor at Discovery Channel.
He will provide analysis, commentary and perspective as well as contribute during breaking news and special events coverage.
“I have been an unabashed fan of NPR for many years and have stolen untold (numbers of) story ideas from its programming,” Koppel said. “It’s time to give something back.”
As part of the deal with Koppel, NPR will rebroadcast selections from his work for Discovery, including periodic town hall events.
