Talker moves to new timeslot
“Megan Mullally” is on the move in Los Angeles.
KNBC Los Angeles is moving the frosh talker from its plum 4 p.m. timeslot to noon weekdays.
As of Monday, NBC Universal’s “Megan” will be replaced by “Your L.A.” and “Local Story” in the 4 o’clock hour.
KNBC becomes the second major-market O&O to bump “Megan.” Two weeks ago, WNBC New York moved the show to 11 a.m. from 3 p.m., skedding a double run of Paramount’s “Judge Joe Brown” in its place.
An NBC U rep said “Megan” tends to perform better in midday dayparts, evidenced by ratings in markets including Phoenix; Milwaukee; Kansas City, Mo.; and Orlando, Fla.
Last week, strip posted a 0.9 national rating.
