Int’l sales on Lotte docket

Company signs deal for four

New Korean seller Lotte Entertainment has signed a quartet of minor deals.

Horror title “Arang,” released in Korea last June, was sold to Thailand (Connect), Taiwan (Talai) and Malaysia (Hwayea), while hostage drama “Holiday” was picked up by Thai buyer J-Bics.

Lotte is a force in Korean exhibition and distribution but is just getting started this year in film sales. In December the company will also unveil the pricey gangster title “The Show Must Go On” by “Rules of Dating” helmer Han Jae-rim and featuring local star Song Kang-ho (“The Host”).
