WGA TV Credits Administrator

Longtime Writers Guild of America, west TV Credits Administrator Huguette Kline died May 29 in Los Angeles.

Born in Paris, Kline moved to the United States in 1951. She began in the WGAw’s Credits Department in 1964, retiring as the Television Credits Administrator in 1994 after nearly 30 years.

he administered the determination of writing credits for thousands of television shows. She was known for her low-key effectiveness, strong French accent, high-pitched laugh and elegant dress. Former WGAw Executive Director and longtime colleague Brian Walton, who worked with Kline for many years, said “Huguette was a force of nature and an exemplar of the very best of the WGA’s long-time, dedicated staff without whose efforts and institutional memory the guild simply could not function. She made an enormous contribution to the community of writers and to the industry as a whole.”

She is survived by a brother.
