Bravo has greenlit production on hairstylist competition “Top Hair” and brought on Ben Silverman’s Reveille to produce.
Eight episodes have been ordered for a premiere sometime next year.
Like Bravo’s other competition series, “Project Runway” and “Top Chef,” one-hour will test the skills of several stylists who, through a variety of challenges, will compete for a $100,000 prize.
Net prexy Lauren Zalaznick said “Top Hair” will “present our viewers with another group of gifted creators — in this case stylists — to showcase their craft as well as the high-stakes drama during their competitive journey.”
Casting is under way in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago and Miami.
Also in the reality competition vein, Bravo recently ordered “Top Designer,” aimed at interior decorators, and “Better Half,” in which contestants compete to see who can better train their spouses in their respective professions over a two-day period.
