Former UPN exec Jerry Longarzo has joined News Corp. production shingle Fox TV Studios as exec VP of business and legal affairs. He replaces Kirk Schenck, who left in May.
Longarzo reports to Fox TV Studios prexy Angela Shapiro-Mathes, who announced the appointment Monday. Shapiro-Mathes pointed to Longarzo’s “skill set and experience across the network, studio and technology worlds” in making the hire.
Longarzo was formerly senior VP, business and legal affairs, at UPN. Before that, he spent a decade at Disney, latterly as senior VP of business affairs at Touchstone TV.
Longarzo’s resume also includes stints at The Golf Channel and Rainbow Programming.
Fox TV Studios’ programming includes FX’s “The Shield,” A&E’s “Inked” and upcoming skeins “Duets” and “Talk Show With Spike Feresten.”
Fox TV Studio and New Regency are partners in Regency TV.
