Magee upped to exec veep

Fox News topper Roger Ailes has named Kevin Magee general manager of Fox Business Channel and Fox’s syndicated morning show, which will launch in January.

Magee, who was upped to exec VP, will continue oversight of Fox News Radio.

Magee was named head of Fox News Radio in 2005, as well as chairman of the Fox News programming council, launched to coordinate programming between TV and radio.

Now he adds oversight of the business channel, which is expected to launch early next year pending agreements with cable and satellite operators.

Magee will also oversee the new syndicated morning show to be hosted by FNC talent Juliet Huddy and Mike Jerrick.

Before joining Fox in 2001 as VP of programming, he spent four years as exec producer of business news at CNBC.
