Net picks Glick to head division
Fox News Channel plucked Alexis Glick from NBC’s “Today” and named her director of business news, in a move that signals accelerated development of a planned business channel spinoff.
Glick, who co-anchored the third hour of “Today,” reports to Neil Cavuto, who in addition to his role as host of Fox’s top-rated “Your World,” is a Fox VP and managing editor for business news.
Fox is working to negotiate carriage for Fox Business Channel with cable and satellite operators, but Fox execs have long said they won’t greenlight the channel unless they believe full distribution can be achieved.
Before “Today,” Glick was senior trading correspondent at CNBC and reported from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for “Squawk Box.”
