Focus falls on veep

Kujawski promoted to VP position

CANNES — Focus Features has upped Peter Kujawski to veep of intl. sales.

Exec started at Focus in 2002, and is based in the Universal specialty arm’s Gotham offices.

He reports to Tim Spencer, senior VP of intl. sales. Focus prexy of intl. is Alison Thompson.

Kujawski has been involved in sales of Zhang Yimou’s “House of Flying Daggers,” Sofia Coppola’s “Lost in Translation” and Fernando Meirelles’ “The Constant Gardener.”

Before his sales stint, Kujawski worked in Focus’ creative affairs unit, dealing with production and distribution issues on pics including Michel Gondry’s “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “21 Grams.”
