The Disney Channel will bow in Poland following a deal with local partners Cyfra+ and Cyfrowy Polsat.

The move means the tyke web will be available to more than 1.3 million subscribers in Poland.

Disney Channel Poland will be tailored to meet the demands of the local market, with dubbed programming, promos and interstitials.

John Hardie, executive vice president and managing director, Disney Channels EMEA, said, “With their expertise, our partners Cyfra+ and Cyfrowy Polsat offer us the opportunity to make Disney Channel the leading kids’ brand in Poland.”

Dominik Libicki, president-CEO of Cyfrowy Polsat, said, “Disney Channel perfectly complements the family nature of our platform, which has something for all subscribers both young and old.

“Disney Channel is the third TV station we have recently launched as part of our basic family package at no additional cost to our subscribers.”

The station will broadcast on Cyfra+ channel 44 and Cyfrowy Polsat channel 39.
