Clive Mizumoto

Sound editor

Sound exec Clive Mizumoto died May 17 of cancer in Woodland Hills, Calif. He was 53.

Born in Honolulu, he attended Occidental College, and began his career as a sound editor in the early 1980s at Harmony Gold.

In 1986 he joined Saban Ent. as senior audio mixer, and spent the most of his career as executive VP of post production at Saban and Fox Family Worldwide, working on shows including “The Super Mario Brothers Super Show” and “Power Rangers in Space.” He won two International Monitor Awards for his work as a re-recording engineer on animated series “The Incredible Hulk” and “Mad Jack the Pirate.”

He is survived by his wife Sherry and two sons.
