CANNES — Canada’s Chum TV is launching its locally focused Citytv format in Beirut, via a deal with Takhayal Entertainment. The Arabic terrestrial service, which is a reformat of the existing news channel NBN, reaches most of Lebanon’s 5 million inhabitants. Chum and Takhayal also have agreed to launch MuchMusic Arabiya, a sat-delivered service for much of the Mideast.
