Seabury joins the drama
CBS Paramount Network TV has tapped Bryan Seabury VP of drama development.
Seabury joins the studio from Gran Via Prods., the TV and film shingle headed by producer Mark Johnson (“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”). He had overseen all aspect of series development and production for Gran Via, which is based at CBS Par for TV.
In his new gig, Seabury will report to Julie McNamara, the studio’s head of drama development. He’ll also work with CBS Par exec VP Maria Crenna, developing drama series programming for both broadcast and cable nets.
McNamara said the studio had already built a “collaborative relationship” with Seabury through Grand Via and noted the exec’s solid relationships with writers, agents and other producers.
Seabury was most recently a producer on “Love Monkey,” a short-lived CBS Par/Gran Via hour that aired earlier this year on CBS.
Before going to work for Johnson, Seabury was director of development for First Move, the TV production shingle formed in 2001 by Susanne Daniels, now prexy of entertainment at Lifetime. At First Move, he developed more than two dozen pilot scripts, including the Peacock laffer “Hidden Hills.”
