CANNES — Canal Plus has acquired the Scott brothers’ Cold War-themed six-parter “The Company,” the new BBC series “Robin Hood,” and Helen Mirren starrer “Elizabeth I,” it announced at Mipcom TV mart.

The Gallic paybox announced three other acquisitions from HBO: “The Aftermath,” a two-parter about the tsunami disaster produced for BBC2 and HBO; Spike Lee’s “When the Levees Broke,” about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina; and season two of “Rome.”
