Broken Lizard’s kegger

'Beerfest' bow brews bash

WHAT: Monday’s preem of “Beerfest” at Hollywood’s Chinese Theater.

WHO: The Broken Lizard gang; director Jay Chandrasekhar and co-stars Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske and Kevin Heffernan; plus Cloris Leachman

TEAM EFFORT: Although Chandrasekhar called the shots behind the camera, writing the film was a collaborative process for the comedy troupe.

“The nice thing about it is that because we do everything together, on set it’s not really a typical situation, especially on this one because this is the first time we really got to improvise a lot because we had a little more money and a little more film to burn,” Lemme boasted. “We’re all learning a lot. We have about 10 sequels planned for this movie.

HANGOVER SHMANGOVER: Feeling queasy in the morning because you tried to prove to your friends you could chug as well as Heffernan’s character, Landfill? Have no fear, the cure is here. Chandrasekhar recommends: “Two aspirin, a glass of water, and rubbing chocolate on your ankles.”
