Lisa Berger has been upped to exec VP of original programming and series development at E! Entertainment Television.
Her promotion arrives after E! posted big gains in the third quarter. In primetime, the net is up 16% in adults 18-49, and up 25% in adults 18-34.
“Her work has definitely contributed to the network’s recent ratings success,” said E! Networks president-CEO Ted Harbert.
In her expanded role, Berger will focus on developing content for multiple platforms, including broadband, online and mobile. Her first priority will be to launch more original content via the Vine, the broadband player of E! Online, already home to exclusive shorts “Carters on the Couch” and “Planet Gossip.”
Berger joined E! Networks as senior VP in 2003, immediately launching franchises “Dr. 90210” and “Girls Next Door.” She’s also behind E!’s “House of Carters,” the latest installment of “The Simple Life” and Style network’s “Isaac.”
Prior to E!, she was exec VP of alternative for Fox TV Studios, and senior VP of development at MTV Networks.
