At Monday’s Pacific Design Center premiere for “Keeping Up With the Steins,” one guest described Garry Marshall‘s nude scene as “daring, though not necessarily erotic.”
Marshall said he did the scene in his son’s film after a number of actors — Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner among them — declined the honor.
“He took one for the team,” said helmer Scott Marshall.
Miramax topper Daniel Battsek said the elder Marshall was right for the role because “he’s comfortable in his skin.”
The septuagenarian thesp said he was proud to say the scene was done in one take and “without improvisation.”
