PGA sets Selznick laurel

Wick, Fisher feted by Guild

The Producers Guild of America has selected Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher to receive its David O. Selznick Achievement award in theatrical motion pictures.

Kudos will be presented Jan. 20 at the 18th annual PGA Awards gala at the Century Plaza Hotel.

Wick and Fisher have produced more than 20 movies through their Red Wagon Prods., including “Gladiator,” “Stuart Little,” “Working Girl,” Jarhead” and “Memoirs of a Geisha.”

Awards co-chairs Mark Gordon and Hawk Koch said, “Lucy and Doug are a dynamic team and have developed and produced movies that consistently entertain and enlighten audiences. They epitomize what a true motion picture producer can accomplish in our industry through hard work and commitment to the many people they have worked with.”

Past honorees include Roger Corman (2006), Laura Ziskin (2005), Dino de Laurentiis (2004), Robert Evans, Lawrence Gordon, Brian Grazer, Stanley Kramer, Howard Koch, Walter Mirisch, Billy Wilder and Jerry Bruckheimer.
