Big Apple takes it easy

Gotham with a 'Vu'

The Big Easy was as lively as ever at the “Deja Vu” preem in the Big Apple.

Pic was among the first projects to lense in the city after Hurricane Katrina, and the Roseland was alive Nov. 20 with New Orleans jazz.

But in true “movie people” fashion, everyone (minus Denzel Washington, who didn’t stick around for the bash) was talking about … their next project.

Whispers that Adam Goldberg was in talks with author Bret Easton Ellis to nab the rights to novel “Lunar Park” were heard. Also possibly on the docket, Val Kilmer may read for the lead.

Meanwhile, not so silent about future projects was pic’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer. When asked if there will be some more “Pirates of the Caribbean” after next summer’s third installment, he smiled and said: “Let’s hope so. Why not? We’ll see.”
