Happy days for Rotterdam

Pusan plays host for other international fest

PUSAN — Party for the Intl. Film Festival Rotterdam was less boisterous than events held in previous years at the O Happy Days club-bar on the Eastern hills above Pusan.

Rotterdam topper Sandra den Hamer held out the fest’s usual generous hand to other fest directors. In attendance were Pusan’s Kim Dong-ho, Cannes’ Thierry Fremaux, Buenos Aires’ Sergio Wolf and Sydney’s newly elevated artistic director Clare Stewart.

Former Rotterdam topper Simon Field, now a working producer, schmoozed busily. Venue’s indoor

terrace was also graced by MK Pictures’ Paul Yi, Korean Film Council chief Ahn Cheongsook, the Pusan Promotion Plan’s Jay Jeon, producer Nansun Shi, Film Messenger acquisitions and sales drector Choi Yoon-hee, filmmaker Nick Bonner and Bigfoot Entertainment’s Kacy Andrews.
