Jazz club reopens after makeover

Headliners line up for legendary venue

Legendary London jazz club Ronnie Scott’s reopened Monday after a £2 million-plus ($3.6 million) three-month refurbishment.

One other notable change is the club’s no-smoking policy.

The reopening of the venue is supported by headliners that do justice to its near 50-year legacy. On Monday, Monty Alexander took to the stage, while other first week acts include Carleen Anderson, Chris Botti, Peter Grant and Mike Stern.
