Palmer to manage copyright, royalty, tracking admin
LONDON – EMI is promoting Claudia Palmer to executive VP and chief operating officer of EMI Music Publishing Continental Europe.Currently senior VP of corporate development at EMI Group, Palmer will assume the new post by June 1 and will report directly to Peter Ende, EMI Music Publishing Continental Europe’s president/CEO. In her new role, Palmer will help Ende with the leadership of the 16 EMI Music Publishing operations throughout Europe and she will manage the shared services organization that provides copyright, royalty and tracking administration for the U.K. and Continental Europe. Palmer will also be in charge of new programs for finance, copyright and royalties and will direct the region’s finance function. “With her excellent business skills and her extensive experience as a strategist as well as her knowledge of EMI, Claudia is ideally suited to help us as we drive the business forward and build on our record of success,” said Ende. Palmer joined EMI in 1995, initially in the worldwide strategy and planning group, and has worked on a range of strategic projects during her career at the music company.
