22,500 tickets are sold in half hour
After only one day since its announcement by Princes William and Harry, the tribute concert for Princess Diana has sold out of its first offering of tickets a half hour after going on sale.
Scheduled for July 1, 2007, on what would have been the Princess’ 46th birthday, 22,500 tickets for the concert, which will feature Elton John, Joss Stone, Andrew Lloyd Weber and the English National Ballet, were sold out in about 20 minutes.
The benefit concert, which will support many of Diana’s favorite charities, will be held at Wembley stadium.
More tickets will become available at a later date.
