Zieman named VP of marketing for the Manhattan group

As EMI’s Blue Note Label Group adjusts to its role as a multigenre division dedicated to the adult music market, company has made serial hires and promoted several employees.

Josh Zieman joins as VP of marketing for the Manhattan group of labels (Manhattan, Back Porch, Higher Octave and Real World).  Zieman has spent 25 years in management, marketing and promotion at Razor & Tie Entertainment, Columbia Records, Mercury Records and EMI Records.

Former Sony BMG senior veep Melani Rogers, a 30-year veteran of domestic and international music industry publicity, joins Manhattan to spearhead PR for all its labels.  Rogers was most recently senior VP of international media and special events at Sony BMG and previously led media relations for Epic Records and Arista Records. 

Meg Harkins has been named VP of marketing for Blue Note.  She has more than 15 years of marketing, promotions and creative development experience in the music business, including at Sanctuary Records Group.

Blue Note Label Group has also upped Saul Shapiro to senior VP of sales and J.R. Rich to senior VP of publicity for Blue Note.
