Beatles featured on new stamp set

Fab Four celebrated by Royal Mail

The Beatles will adorn a new set of special British postage stamps, which will feature six of their classic album covers. The Royal Mail will issue the new postage on January 9.

The albums “Abbey Road” and “Help!” will be featured on the 64 pence stamps, while “Revolver” and “Let It Be” will be represented on the 72 pence stamps. “With the Beatles” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” will be reserved for first-class postage.

“Special stamps mark great moments, famous anniversaries and important cultural themes,’ said Julietta Edgar from Royal Mail. “They are miniature pieces of art and history rolled into one and this year’s stamps promise more stunning images.”
