Brave new ‘World’

The “World of Warcraft” is heading to the world of film. Warners-based Legendary Pictures has picked up film rights to adapt hugely popular videogame. More than 5 million people around the world pay a monthly subscription fee to play in the online fantasy universe, where gamers from around the world not only team on quests but often interact and form deep social relationships. The Legendary announcement came as the E3 videogame industry confab got under way Monday in Los Angeles.
