Turner tuner returns

Musical bio makes second Off B'way engagement

Tina Turner tuner “River Deep” returns for a second limited Off Broadway engagement at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater July 5-29.

Adapted by Gabrielle Lansner from Turner’s autobiography “I, Tina,” the show, which incorporates multimedia visual effects, is not a jukebox musical. Original score is by Philip Hamilton.

Pat Hall, as Turner, heads the cast of five thesps. Lansner helms, choreographs, and produces the small-scale bio-tuner, which played at the Sharp Theater for two weeks in January.
